About the team:
Our architectural team offers a full-service approach, from early-stage concept and budget advice to complete turnkey delivery. With over 35 years of experience, we specialise in educational, residential, and heritage projects, including listed buildings and sensitive rural development. We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Architectural Apprentice to join our dynamic team in Oxford. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to begin their career in architecture, gain hands-on experience, and work towards professional qualifications.
The team operates within the Building Consultancy division, working closely alongside our Oxford Building Surveying and Project Management teams.
Day to day duties:
Assist the architectural team with design development, technical drawings, and project documentation
Contribute to concept design, presentations, and visualisations
Carry out site visits, surveys, and assist with producing reports
Collaborate with consultants, contractors, and clients under supervision
Support in preparing planning applications and building regulation submissions
Maintain accurate project records and assist with administrative tasks

Training:
On the job training is provided to ensure all the required knowledge and experience is obtained throughout the apprenticeship to qualify successfully.
4 year training programme which includes a part time undergraduate degree (Level 6 Architecture Degree Apprenticeship) and an End Point Assessment (EPA). The degree is prescribed by the Architects Registration Board (ARB) and provides Part 1 status with the ARB.
We will provide the full suite of Savills training programme including mandatory health and safety and office training, as well as specific training relevant to your role.
We ensure that your Continuing Professional Development (CPD) is current and that all staff are fully up to date with changes to legislation and business needs.

Working Week:
Five full days in the office, working hours 9:00am to 5:30pm. One of these days each week will be dedicated to apprenticeship studies.
Assessment for this role:

Entry requirements:
GCSE English and Maths at Level 4 (Grade C) or above is a mandatory requirement and you may not apply if you are currently studying for or already have a degree. You will also need a minimum of 120 - 128 UCAS points.
You must be eligible to live, work and remain in the UK, within 1 hour’s commute of the office you are applying to.
